e e e e e e ORDINANCE NO. 559 - A AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 559, PRESCRIBING THE FEES TO BE CHARGED FOR BUILDING PERMITS, ALTERATION PERMITS AND REPAIR PERMITS AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES AND/OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH TO THE EXTENT OF SUCH CONFLICT. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE, TEXAS, THAT: Section 1. Each and every person, firm or corporation, hereafter applying for a building permit, a remodeling permit, or a repair permit, shall pay to the City of La Porte a fee such amount as follows: (a) Building Permit: An amount of money equal to one and one-half cents (1 1/2) per square foot of enclosed covered, floor space, for unenclosed covered areas such as carports and patios a fee of 1/2 cents per square foot shall be charged, a fee of 1/2 cents per square foot shall be charged for swimming pool per- mits, the fee for permits for enclosing unenclosed covered areas shall be one cent (1) per square foot (with the exception that no charge shall be made in this instance if the permit for the unenclosed covered area was issued prior to the effective date of this ordinance), provided that the minimum fee shall be the sum of Two and 50/100 Dollars ($2.50) for such permit; (b) Permit for Repairs to Existing Buildings or Structures: The sum of Two and 50/100 Dollars ($2.50); (c) Remodeling or Repairs and Remodeling Permit: The sum of Five Dollars ($5.00), and in addition there- to the sum of one and one-half cents (1 1/2) per square foot of any additional floor space under coverage to be constructed. Section 2. All ordinances and/or parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby expressly repealed to the extent of such conflict only.
