',jAN ORDINANCE PRESCRIBING THE RATES, FEES AND CHARGES FOR WATER AND WATER SERVICE
'i;BY THE CITY TO CONSUMERS INSIDE AND OUTSIDE THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF
;'„LA PORTS, TEXAS; PRESCRIBING THE TIME FOR PAYMENT THEREOF; PROVIDING FOR TEN PER
;CENT. (10~) DISCOUNT FOR PROMPT PAYMENT OF BILL.

'I,BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LA PORTS, TEXAS, THAT:

Section 1. Hereafter, each and every consumer, inside and outside
',
~'~the corporate limits of the City, shall pay to the City their respective water
'h, bills for water consumption at the following rates, to-wit:
For water consumed during any month, the rates shall be:
~~ One Dollar ($1.00) per One Thousand (1,000) gallons for the
first Two Thousand (2,000 gallons of water;

Seventy-Five Cents (75¢) per One Thousand (1,000) gallons in
excess of Two Thousand (2,000) gallons and less than Five Thou-
i~ sand (5,000) gallons of water;
Fifty Cents (50~) per One Thousand (1,000) gallons in excess
of Five Thousand (5,000) gallons and less than Ten Thousand
(10,000) gallons of water;
Forty Cents (40~) per One Thousand (1,000) gallons in excess of
Ten Thousand (10,000) gallons and less than Fifty Thousand
(50x000) gallons of water;
Thirty Cents (30¢) per One Thousand (1,000) gallons in excess
of Fifty Thousand (50,000) gallons of water.
The sum of Two Dollars ($2.00) shall be the monthly minimum charge for

water consumption for each and every consumer inside the City limits; the sum of

Two and 50/100 Dollars ($2.50) shall be the monthly minimum for each consumer
',outside the City limits. On alI monthly bills paid by the Consumer on or before
,the 10th day of the calendar month succeeding that for which the bill is rendere
Lithe City shall allow a discount in the sum of ten per cent. (10~). All bills pa

'after the 10th day of the calendar month succeeding that for which such bill is
,rendered shall not be subject to such discount.
Section 2. The City shall provide water for sale in tank trucks at the

jwater tap at the City Barn location. No water shall be sold to any purchaser ate

any location other than at the City Barn location. The sum of Two Dollars ($2.OO)
!,,per On-e Thousand (1,000) gallons of water shall be charged for water sold for
purchasers with tank truck.
Section 3. This ordinance shall become effective and in fuli force
upon its passage and approval, and the rates herein prescribed shall be in effect

and charged on the water bills issued in the month of June, 1959. 4
