J"8o <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE CALLING THE REGULAR BIENNIAL ELECTION OF THE CITY <br />OFFICIALS OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE, TEXAS; PROVIDING FOR POLLING <br />PLACE: APPOINTING ELECTION OFFICIALS: PROVIDING FOR RETURN AND <br />CANVASS OF VOTES OF SAID ELECTION: PROVIDING FOR NOTICE; PROVIDING <br />FOR FILING FEES FOR CANDIDATES: AND SAVING CLAUSE. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISION OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE, TEXAS, <br />THA T : <br /> <br />I <br />'I <br />1 <br />Section 1. An election be held wi thin the corporate lim-'i <br /> <br />its of the City of La Porte, Texas, on the 26th day of April, 1960; <br /> <br />~ such day being the fourth Tuesday in April, between seven o.clock <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />(7:00) A. M. and seven o'clock (7:00) P. M., for the purpose of <br /> <br />electing a Mayor and four (4) Commissioners of said City. <br /> <br />Section 2. There shall be but one (1) polling place, <br /> <br />which shall be the City Hall, located within the corporate limits <br /> <br />of the City of La Porte, Texas. <br /> <br />Section 3. MRS. H. M. RALSTON <br /> <br />is hereby appoint- <br />I <br /> <br />ed Judge of said election, vms. or IS HARRISON <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />are hereby appointed Assistant <br /> <br />Judges of said election, and <br /> <br />liffiS. LOIS CO~WTON <br /> <br />vms. REX BAKER <br /> <br />and MRS. HALLIF; 'i/lUGHT <br /> <br />are hereby appointed Clerks of said election. <br /> <br />Section 4.
