PERPETUAL EASEMENT TO HUIv1BLE PIPELINE;: COMPANY i\ND AUTHORIZING
THE MAYOR TO SIGN SUCH AN EASEMENT ALONG THE WEST POnrrION
OF 16TH STHEET FROM THE SPENCER HIGHVJAY (WEST MAIN STREET)
NORTH TO NORTH J STREI:..:rr.
WHEREAS, the City Commission of a previous administration
by letter agreement agreed to grant to Humble Pipeline Company
an easement for laying and maintaining a pipeline along
an eight foot strip of land withing the confines of 16th
street and lying east of and adjacent to the west 4 feet
.
of 16th street; and,
WHEREAS, this City Bommission feels that it is
morally bound to carry through with said agreement;;and,
WHEREAS, it is determined by this commission that
the granting of such an easement will promote the development
and growth of the northwest portion of the city,
NOW, THEREFOHE, BE rr ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF LA PORTE, TEXAS, rrHAT:
The Mayor of the City of La Porte shall sign and the
City Secretary shall attest that certain easement granting

Humble Pipeline Company the right to lay and maintain pipelines
along a strip of land within the confines of 16th street within
the City Limits of the C:Lty of La Porte 8 feet in width immedi.ately
east of and adjacent to the west 4 feet of 16th street from
Spencer Highway (West Main Street) to the South boundary line
of North J Street so long as the sai.d 16th Street is not
Mayor
