(,;a 7 I AN ORDINANCE DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE REGULAR ELECTION, HELD IN THE CITY OF LA PORTE ON THE FOURTH TUESDAY IN APRIL, 1961. \ffiEREAS, the special meeting, held on the 1st day of May, 1961, the City Commission of the City of La Porte, can- vas sed the votes and returns of the regular City Election, held on the 4th Tuesday in April, 1961, and declared the re- sults of the election to be as follows, to-wit: For the office of Commissioner - Position Number 1 - Dennis Dunham, 3/t votes; . Position Number 3 - Odell Brown, Charlie rilartin, 2"9 votes; /.3.5" votes; 1,mEREAS, the City Commission declared Dennis Dunham elected to the office of Commissioner of the City of La Porte, Position Number 1, the City Commission declared Odell L. Brown elected to the office of Commissioner of the City of La Porte, Position Number 3, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY CO~~ISSION OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE: Dennis Dunham is elected to the office of City Commissioner, Position Number 1, and in accordance with the provisions of the . Charter of the City of La Porte, his tenure of office shall be for a term of two ~) years. Odell Brown is elected to the office of City Commissioner, Position Number 3, and in accordance with the provisions of the Charter of the City of La Porte, his tenure of office shall be for a term of two (2) years. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage and approval, and it is so ordered. PASSED AND APPROVED, this the 1st day of May, A.D.,1961.
