AN ORDINANCE MAKING APPROPRIATIONS FOR SUPPORT OF THE
GOVERNMENT OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE, TEXAS, FOR THE
FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING JULY 1,19'/:11, AND ENDING JUNE 30,/176'.1:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COl\l.lJV1lSSION OF THE CITY OF
LA PORTE, TEXAS:
Section 1. That for the purposes of providing a budget for
the fiscal year beginning July 1, /9!JZ, and ending June 30, /0/63 ,
the sums set forth below be, and the same are hereby, appropriated
'e for the maintenance, operation and improvement of the Government
of the City of La Porte, and the same shall be strictly applied for the
several purposes and in the respective amounts hereinafter specified.
Section 2. That the amounts appropriated and the purposes
for which the same shall be spent be as follows

Section 3. That the City Commission may transfer a sum
from one (1) item to another item within a fund except that the Bonded
Debt Service Fund shall not be subject to such alteration by the City
Commission; and that a sum may be transferred from one (1) fund to
another fund only on the authority of an ordinance passed by the City
Commission.

Section 4. There is hereby levied a tax on all property real,

personal or mixed within the City of La Porte pursuant to the laws of
The State of Texas to provide the funds for the support of said City,
in the amount and at the rate of One and 75/100 Dollars ($1. 75) on
each One Hundred and No/100 Dollars ($100.00) assessed evaluation
of which tax thirty per cent (30%) shall be relegated to bond service
and shall be placed in the interest and sinking fund and the balance
shall be relegated to the general fund.
Section 5. That this ordinance shall take effect from and
after its passage.
