AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 658, SECTION 5 B
MAKING PROVISIONS FOR CHARGES FOR WATER TAP FEE IN
CASES WHERE A BUILDING IS MOVED FROM ONE LOCATION TO
ANOTHER AND IN CASES WHERE METER IS MOVED FOR CON-
VENIENCE OF CUSTOMER. .
WHEREAS Section 5 B of Ordinance 658 passed and approved
on the lst day of October, 1962, reads as follows, to-wit:
Section 5. General Provisions
B. Water Tapping Charges. The tapping charges for connect-
ing with the City water mains and laterals shall be as follows:
5/8" Connection - - - - - - - $65.00
3/4" Connection - - - - - - - 75.00
1" Connection - - - - - - 96. 00
1-1/4" Connection - - - - - - - 60.00 plus meter cost.
2" or larger connection - - Actual cost of installation,
plus meter cost.
These charges shall apply where the connection is made in
dirt, shell or asphalt. There shall be an additional charge of twenty-
five dollars ($25. 00) where the excavation is made in concrete paving.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF LA PORTE:
Section 5 B of Ordinance 658 is hereby amended effective upon
its passage and approval, to read as follows:

These charges . shall apply where the connec'tion is made in

Any building removed to a new site, leaving no building to
be serviced by a water connection and no immediate need for further
water service at the previous location, shall be furnished with the
same meter, if still in good working order, and the City shall collect
for labor and materials furnished at the new location, but in no event
shall owner or contractor endeavor to re-locate the water service or
furnish any material or labor for re-locating the water service with-
out permission from the City Engineer.
In the event a water customer desires re-location of water

service entry, upon application, the City shall furnish the necessary
labor and material to remove water service entry to a new location
and customer shall reimburse the full expense for labor and material
to City.
This ordinance shall be effective upon its passage and
