ORDINANCE NO. 682 AN ORDINANCE CONFIRMING THE APPOINTMENT OF THE MEMBERS OF THE PLANNING AND ZONING COlMMISSION FOR THE CITY OF LA PORTE; ESTABLISHING THE TERMS OF OFFICE OF SAID MEMBERS AND BINDING SUCH APPOINTEES TO THE TERMS AND PROVISIONS OF ORDINANCE NUMBER '8 1 WHEREAS, Mayor H. P. Pfeiffer, Mayor of the City of La Porte has appointed ELSIE MOORE, WALTER ROijERSON, ODELL BROWN, D. O. LAIRD and JACK OLIPHANT as members of the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of La Porte; and WHEREAS, the City Clerk has made an investigation and has found that each of the appointees is a resident citizen, is a taxpayer, owns real estate in the City of La Porte and is a qualified voter of the City of La Porte. NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE, THAT: The appointments of ELSIE MOORE, WALTER ROBERSON and ODELL BROWN are hereby confirmed and they shall serve as members of the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of La Porte for a term of two (2) years; and The appointments of D. O. LAIRD and JACK OLIPHANT are hereby confirmed and they shall serve as members of the Planning and Zoning Com- mission of the City of La Porte for a term of one (1) year; and Such appointees are hereby vested with the power and duties set forth in that certain ordinance promulgated by the City Commission of the City of La Porte as Ordinance Number ~ 81 This Ordinance shall be effective upon passage and approval.
