e AN ORDINANCE Al3ANDONING AND CLOSING A PORTION OF SUNRISE
DRIVE FROM A WESTERLY EXTENSION OF THE SOUTH BOUNDARY LINE
OF BAY COLONY SOUTH TO THE NORTH BOUNDARY LINE OF RUSTIC
RED BLUFF.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE:
The City of La Porte does hereby permanently abandon
and close to public use that portion of the certain public
roadway "commonly known as "SUNRISE DRIVE" particularly
described as followsjJ to-wit:
All that portion of Sunrise Drive as presently
locatedjJ being 60 feet wide by 1647.6 feet longjJ
more or leasjJ and containing 2.27 acres, situated
in the Wm. P. Barris SurveYjJ Abstract 30, in
Harris County, Texas, said portion being bound.ed
on the north by a westerly extension of the
south boundary of the Bay Colony Subdivision
as recorded in Volume BljJ Page 62, of the Map
Record.s of Harris CountYjJ TexasjJ and bounded on
the south by the north boundary of the subdivision
of Allotment, No. 1 of -Rustic Red Bluff out of
the Briscoe Tract (commonly known as the Rustic
Red Bluff Subdivision) as recorded in Volume BjJ
Page 62jJ of the Map Records of Harris County,
TexasjJ and bounded on the east and west by
lands formerly owned by Glenn E. Sereau and now
owned by Humble Oil & Refining Company.
This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and
after its passage and approval.
PASSED AND APPROVED this the ~ day of August, 1964.
