AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING THE ALLEY
LYING W,ITHIN BLOCK 306, IN THE TOWN OF LA PORTE
WHEREAS, the said alley in Block 306 has never been opened or
used as a public thoroughfare or for public utilities; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of La Porte has de-
termined and does hereby find, determine and declare that the said
alley is not suitable, needed, or beneficial to the public as a public alley,
and should be vacated, abandoned and permanently closed;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE, THAT:
The alley located in Block 306 of the Town of La Porte according
to the map or plat thereof recorded in Volume 60, Page 112 of the Deed
Records of Harris County, Texas, is hereby permanently vacated,
abandoned and closed by the City of La Porte.
This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after
its passage and approval.
PASSED AND APPROVED this the 31st day of August
A. D. 1964.

(hereinafter called GRANTOR, whether one or more), for and in consideration of One Dollar ($1.00) and other good
, and valuable consideration cash in hand paid, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, does hereby grant, bargain,
sell and convey unto HOUSTON NATURAL GAS CORPORATION, a Texas corporation, its successors and assigns
(hereinafter called GRANTEE); a right.of-way and easement to lay, construct, maintain, inspect, operate, protect,
repair, alter, change the size of, replace, substitute and remove pipelines from time to time (with structures, equip-
ment, valv!ls, fittings and appurt,enant facili~iel!' whether above or belQ.w ground, ,f,rom time to time deemed by Grantee
to be necessary or desi~able in connection with the use and convenient 'operat,io~ of any of said pipelines) for the trans-
portation of gas, oil, petroleum products, or any other liquids, ga'ses or substances which can be transported through
a pipeline, at a' location and on a route to be.selected by Grantee across, under, upon, oV,er and through the lands o,f
Grantor or in which Grantor has an interest, situated in the County of Harris , State of
Texas described as follows: '

That certain tract o~ parcel of land being Block 306, C1~y
of La Porte, Harris County, Texas.
The rights of way and'easements herein 'conveyed shall be
ten (10) feet in width being more particularly shown on Exhibit
A attached hereto' and made a part hereof.
The rights of way and easements herein conveyed shall be
for the use and benefit of all publi~ utilities.

The Grantee shall have all other rights and benefits necessary or convenient for the full enjoyment or use of
the rights herein granted, including, but without limiting the same to, the right of ingress and egress over and across
said lands and said right-of-way and easement, and the right from' time to time to cut and remove all trees, under-
growth and other obstructions that may injure said pipelines and appurtenances or interfere with the construction,
operation, maintenance, repair, change, replacement or removal t,hereof. The Grantee shall have the right to assign
this grant in whole or in part,
Gr~ntor shall have the right to use and enjoy the surface of said right-of-way and easement hereinaoove dell.-,
cribed provided such use and enjoyment shall not interfere with the use thereof by Grantee for the purposes for which
said right-of-way and easement is granted, and provided further that Grantor shall not erect or construct, nor permit
the erection or construction of, any houses, structures, lakes, ponds, dams or other obstructions on, over, across
or within said right-of-way and easement or that will interfere with any of the rights herein granted to Grantee,
TO'HAVE AND TO HOLD the said right-of-way and easement unto Grantee, its successors and assigns, until
a pipeline is constructed hereunder and so long thereafter as a pipeline is located thereon, and the undersigned hereby
bind themselves, their heirs, executors and administrators, successors and assigns. to warrant and forever defend
all and singular said premises unto Grantee, its successors and assigns, against every p~rson whomsoever claiming
or to claim the same or any part thereof. '
It ip agreed that this grant covers all the agreements between the parties and no representations or state-
ments, verba~ or written, have been made, modifying, adding to, or changing the terms of this agreement. The terms
and provisions hereof shall inure to the benefit of and be binding upon Grantor and Grantee and their respective heirs.
