RESOLUTION NO. 86-30
WHEREAS, the City of La Porte, Texas, pursuant to the
authority granted by Article 664-7, V.T.C.S., as amended, desires
to participate in described purchasing programs of the State
Purchasing and General Services Commission; and
WHEREAS, the City of La Porte is of the opinion that
participation in these programs will be highly beneficial to the
taxpayers of this Ci~y, through the anticipated savings to be
realized;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LA PORTE:
Section 1. That the City of La Porte does request the State
Purchasing and General Services Commission to include its stated
need for vehicle tires on the commission's annual contracts for
tHose items, whereby the City of La Porte may be allowed to
purchase those items from the annual contract; and that
Section 2. Robert T. Herrera~ City Manager, is authorized
and directed to sign and deliver all necessary requests and other
documents in connection herewith for and on behalf of the City of
La Porte.
