AN ORDINANeE AMENDING SECTION 2 of ORDINANCE NO. 759, AS
AMEND~D BY ORDINANCE 759-e, AND PROVIDING AN EFFEeTIVE
DATE HEREOF.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE eITY eOMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE:
Section 1. Section 2 of Ordinance No. 159, as amended
by Ordinance No. 759-e, is hereby amended, and shall hereafter
read as follows:,
"Section ,2. A connection charge shall be made
.
against each lot, tract, or parcel of land and the owner
thereof whose water and sewer line shall be hereafter connected
wi th 'any water main or sanitary sewer main of the City of
La Porte, which charge shall be at the following rates, which
rates are a portion of the total cost of such water and sewer
mains, to-wit:
"(i), $1.25 per front foot of the lot, tract, or
parcel of land to which water connections may be made, plus
a water tapping charge of:
"(a) On connections requiring a 5/8"x3/4"
meter, a fee of $160.00.
"(b) On connections requiring a 1" or
larger meter, at the actual cost of
larger meter shall be discounted by the
cost of the existing smaller meter;
"(d) If the connection requires an excavation
in an asphalt or concrete street, necessi-
tating street repairs, there will be an
additional charge of the actual cost of
said street repairs.

"(2) $2.00 per front foot of the lot, tract or

parcel of 'land to which sanitary sewer connections may be made;
a stack fee of $130.00 for a 4" sewer tap, and a stack fee of
$140.00 for a 6,11 sewer tap; and an inspection fee of $5.00."
Section 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval.
