Gentlernen and Mrs. Cline:
At a called meeting of the Planning and Zoning Commission of
the City of La Porte, held May 27, 1976, the vote was unanimous
to approve a request for a Special Use Permit for C.B.S. for a
blasting operation to be located, 14.66 acres more or less out
of Lot No. 32 of the Nebraska Syndicate Subdivision; 8.712 acres
more or less out of the Enoch Brinson Survey, Abstract No.5.
The fOllowing requirernents must be met:
C. B. S. must meet the Texas Air Control standards.
the plant have to be approved prior to construction.
County Pollution Control also has to approve. C. B.
all EPA requirernents.

QRDINANCE NO. 780-I1
AN ORDINANCE AMENDIN~ ORDINANCE ~O. 780, THE CITY OF LA PORTE
ZONING ORDINANCE, BY' CHANGING THE CLASSIFICATION OF THAT CER-
TAIN PARCEL OF LAND HEREIN DESCRIBED; AND PROVIDING AN EFFEC-
TIVE DATE HEREOF.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE:
Section 1. The .Planning and Zoning Commission of the
City o~ La Porte has recommended to the City Commission of the
Ci ty of La Porte, . that it grant a Special Use Permit for the
hereinafter described parcel of land.
Section 2. The. City Co~ission of the City of La porte
hereby accepts the recommendation of the City of La Porte
Planning and Zoning Commission, and the zoning classification

of the hereinafter described parcel of land, situated within
the corporate limits of the City of La Porte, is hereby
changed in accordancE! therewi~h, by granting a Special Use
Permit for a truck terminal operation, subject to the follow-
ing terms and conditions:
(1) The North .Twenty-five Feet (N.25') thereof
shall be dedicated as a visual screen, and
shall be planted as a green-belt, with
trees and vegetation.
(2) The North One Hundred Feet (N.lOO') shall
have no buildings constructed thereon, and
shall be considered a 100-foot building
setba'ck line.

(3) A Special Use Permit for Light Industrial
use is hereby granted for truck terminal
operation, for the,North Two Hundred Feet
(N. 200') thereof, subject to the terms
and provisions hereof.
The description of s.aid parcel of land re-zoned is as fol1lows,
to-wit:
...
That certain tract or parcel of land,
being bounded 346.5l feet on Fairmont
Parkway as the northern boundary; approx-
imately 300 feet along the east right-of-
way line of the Southern Pacific railroad
as the wes:t boundary; a line running east
to west a -distance of 346.51 feet south of
and parallel to' Fairmont Parkway, as the
southern boundary; and a line running north
to south approximately 300 feet east of and
parallel to the Southern Pacific right-of-
way as. the eastern boundary of said portion.
Said:tract or parcel of land contains
approximately 2.377 acres, more or less.

after its passage and approval.
