SOUTHWEST CHEMICAL ORDINANCE NO.. 809' , AN ORDINANCE DISANNEXING CERTAIN TERRITORY HERETOFORE ANNEXED TO THE ClTY OF LA PORTE; CONTAINING A SAVINGS CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. BE IT ORDAINED B~ THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE, TEXAS, THAT: Sectiorr 1. The hereinafter described territory, which is now entirely located within the corporate limits of the City of La Porte, Texas, by prior annexation ordinances of the City of La Porte, i~ hereby disannexed from the corporate limits of the City of La Porte, and, ,after the effective date of this Ordinance, ,shall not constitute a pa,rt of the corporate territory of the City of La Porte, to-wit: BEGINNING ,at a point on the City Limits Line of the ,City of.La Porte, where the West property line of a Houston Lighting & Power Company 8.504 acre tract of land, as recorded in Volume 264~ at Page 151 of the Deed Records of Harris County, Texas, intersects the South right-of-way line of Stra~g Road; , THENCE South 0007' East along the West property line of said H.L.&P. Company 8.504 acre tract, said line being the East property line of Columbian Carbon Company's 10-acre tract, a distance of 790 feet to an iron rod for the Southeast corner of said Columbian Carbon Company's 10-acre tract; : . THENCE East a distance of 551.3-9' to an iron rod for the Southwest corner of said 10-acre tract; THENCE North 0007' West a distance of 790' to an iron rod in the South right-of-way of Strang Road, ,said point being the No,rthw~st corner of said 10-acre tract; . THENCE East along the South right-of-way of Strang Road a distance of 441.39' to a point for corner; , THENCE South 0007' East a distance of 188' to a p~int for corner; THENCE West a distance of 10', to a point for corner; THENCE South 00,07. i East a distance of 40', to a point for corner; THENCE East a distance of 12' to a point for corner; THENCE N.Oo07.'
