ORDINANCE NO. 1584 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION BY THE CITY OF LA PORTE OF AN EASEMENT WITH HOUSTON LIGHTING & POWER COMPANY, IN FORM ATTACHED TO THIS ORDINANCE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE: Section l. The Mayor and the City Secretary of the City of La Porte, Texas, be, and they are hereby authorized, and empowered to execute and deliver on behalf of the City of La Porte, Texas, an easement to Houston Lighting & Power, in form attached hereto. Section 2. The City Council officially finds, determines, recites and declares that a sufficient written notice of the date, hour, place and subject of this meeting of the City Council was posted at a place convenient to the public at the City Hall of the City for the time required by law preceding this meeting, as required by the Open Meetings Law, Article 6252-17, Texas Revised Civil Statutes Annotated~ and that this meeting has been open to the public as required by law at all times during which this ordinance and the subject matter thereof has been discussed, considered and formally acted upon. The City Council further ratifies, approves and confirms such written notice and the contents and posting thereof. Section 3. I calculate just over one foot clearance with the proposed trunk sewer and this ease- ment and will therefore advise the sewer contractor of the need for location control. Please review this document and advise me of your comments by April 19, (Tuesday). I plan to present to Council on April 25. cc: John E.
