<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 93- 1943 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE DIRECTING THE CITY'S PLANNING DEPARTMENT TO PREPARE <br />A SERVICE PLAN THAT PROVIDES FOR THE EXTENSION OF MUNICIPAL <br />SERVICES TO THE AREA COMPRISING THE BATTLEGROUND INDUSTRIAL <br />DISTRICT AND THE BAYPORT INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT, PROPOSED TO BE <br />ANNEXED BY THE CITY OF LA PORTE; FINDING COMPLIANCE WITH THE OPEN <br />MEETINGS LAW; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE: <br /> <br />Section 1. Pursuant to Section 43.056, Texas Local Government <br /> <br />Code, the City Council of the City of La Porte hereby directs the <br /> <br />City of La Porte Planning Department to prepare a service plan that <br /> <br />provides for the extension of municipal services to the <br /> <br />Battleground Industrial District and the Bayport Industrial <br /> <br />District, areas proposed to be annexed to the City of La Porte. <br /> <br />The proposed service plan shall be made available for public <br /> <br />inspection and explained to the inhabitants of the Districts at <br />public hearings to be held under Section 43.052, Texas Local <br />Government Code. The proposed service plan for Bayport Industrial <br /> <br />District shall not include the property owned by Southern Ionics, <br /> <br />Inc. <br /> <br />Section 2. The property of each firm which accepts the offer <br />of the City of La Porte to enter into the City'S proposed <br /> <br />industrial district agreement, for the seven year term beginning <br /> <br />January 1, 1994, shall not be included in the service plan. <br />Section 3. The City Council officially finds, determines, <br /> <br />recites, and declares that a sufficient written notice of the date, <br /> <br />hour, place and subject of this meeting of the city Council was <br /> <br />posted at a place convenient to the public at the City Hall of the <br />City for the time required by law preceding this meeting, as <br />required by the Open Meetings Law, Article 6252-17, Texas Revised <br />
