ORDINANCE NO. 1644 C AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE RATES FOR THE USE OF THE MUNICIPAL SWIMMING POOLS AND THE HOURS OF OPERATION FOR THE MUNICIPAL SWIMMING POOLS. section 1. Admission to the Municipal Swimming Pools may be obtained by either purchase of a season pass or by paying a general admission fee. A. Season passes for San Jacinto, Northwest & Fairmont Municipal Pools may be purchased at the Parks and Recreation offices or at the municipal swimming pools. A member of the family must apply in person for the pass/passes. PROOF OF RESIDENCY: For purchase of discounted resident season passes, residents must present a current water and sewer bill, rental receipt or tax statement with valid Texas Drivers License. (Drivers License not acceptable proof by itself.) Fees established for season passes are as follows: RESIDENTS NON-RESIDENTS 1. THE DESIGN IS CONDUCIVE TO ELEMENTARY/JUNIOR HIGH AGE YOUNGSTERS. WE RECOMMEND EITHER THE SAN JACINTO, FAIRMONT OR LITTLE CEDAR FACILITIES FOR TEENAGE AND OLDER GROUPS. . . Hours of Operation for Municipal Swimming Pools. Wave Pool will open for the Memorial Day Weekend (Saturday thru Monday) then all pools will open the first Saturday after the La Porte Independent School District's summer dismissal. Pools will be open for the July 4th holiday. Northwest, San Jacinto Pools and Fairmont Pools will close for the season the last Wednesday prior to La Porte Independent School District classes resuming. Wave Pool will close daily the Sunday prior to the La Porte Independent School District's classes resuming and be open weekends thru Labor Day. ProDosed Hours of operation LITTLE CEDAR BAYOU WAVE POOL MONDAY THRU THURSDAY 11:00 AM - 8:00 PM FRIDAY THRU SUNDAY 11:00 AM - 6:00 PM NORTHWEST POOL.SAN JACINTO AND FAIRMONT POOLS MONDAY'S CLOSED TUESDAY THRU SUNDAYS 11:00 AM-5:00 PM 6:00PM - 9:00 PM I. Reduced Admission Rate for Special Group Patrons during Public Swim Sessions: *Only valid for our San Jacinto and Northwest Park Pools. A. Available during any public swim sessions. B. For groups of over twenty (20) we will require a minimum of twenty four (24) hour advanced notice. c. will require a ratio of one (1) staff person (*Special Group) per five (5) patrons. D. Admission rate of $ .50 for each patron over the age of four (4). Under four (4) admitted free. E. This reduced admission applies only to special groups of ten (10) persons or more with proof of group affiliation. section 3. Due to the fluctuation in monthly attendance (July & August) and low revenues, the Parks and Recreation Department will retain the privilege to work with our major sponsors and Marketing Coordinator to discount admission prices and offer special events/programs. Section 4. The city Council officially finds, determines, recites and declares that a sufficient written notice of the date, hour,place and subject of this meetinq of the city Council was posted at a place convenient to the public at the City Hall of the city for the time required by law preceding this meeting, as required by the Open Meetings Law, Article 6252-17, Texas Revised civil Statutes Annotated; and that this meeting has been open to the public as required by law at all times during which this ordinance and the subject matter thereof has been discussed, considered, and formally acted upon. The City Council further ratifies, approves and confirms such written notice and the contents and posting thereof. e e section 5.
