e e ORDINANCE NO. ~~ AN ORDINANCE APPOINTING P. J. MOCK, JR., M.D., AS HEALTH AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE; CONTAINING A REPEALING CLAUSE; FINDING COMPLIANCE WITH THE OPEN MEETINGS LAW; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE, TEXAS: Seg_tJon 1. The Ci ty Council of t.he Ci ty of La POl'te hereby appoints P. J. Mock, Jr., M.D., as Health Authority of the City of La Porte, effective as of May 8, 1989. The appointee shall serve for a period ending May 8, 1991, or until his successor has been duly appointed and qualified: Section 2. All or'dinances or' par'ts of ordinances in couflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of conflict only. Section ~. The City Council officially finds, determines, recites and declares that a sufficient written notice of the date, hour, place and subject .of this meeting of the City Council was posted at a place convenient to the public at the City Hall of the Ci ty fo (" the time l"equ i red by law p reced ing thi s meeting, as required by the Open Meetings Law, Article 6252-17, Texas Revised Civil Statutes Annotated; and that this meeting has been open to the public as required by law at all times during which this ordinance and the subject matter thereof has been discussed, considered and formally acted upon. The City Council further ratifies, approves and confirms such written notice and the contents and posting thereof. Section 4.
