ORDINANCE NO. 1723
AN ORDINANCE APPOINTING MEMBERS TO THE CITY OF LA PORTE ELECTRICAL
BOARD; CONTAINING A REPEALING CLAUSE; FINDING COMPLIANCE WITH THE
OPEN MEETINGS LAW; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE:
section 1. The City Council of the City of La Porte hereby
appoints the following members to the City of La Porte Electrical
Board, for the term expiring April 30, 1992, and until their
successors shall have been duly appointed and qualified.
Bob McLaughlin , Chairman
Tprry ~rnff , Position 1
Gene Pfeiffer , Position 2
Kenneth Kendrick , Position 3
Jim Counts , Position 4
In addition to the five members stated above, the Chief Electrical
Inspector of the City shall be an ex officio member.
section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of conflict only.
section 3. The City Council officially finds, determines,
recites and declares that a sufficient written notice of the date,
hour, place and subject of this meeting of the City Council was
posted at a place convenient to the public at the City Hall of the
City for the time required by law preceding this meeting, as
required by the Open Meetings Law, Article 6252-17, Texas Revised
civil Statutes Annotated; and that this meeting has been open to
the public as required by law at all times during which this
ordinance and the subj ect matter thereof has been discussed,
considered and formally acted upon. The City council further
ratifies, approves and confirms such written notice and the
contents and posting thereof.
section 4. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its passage and approval.
