SUMMARY & RECOMMENDATION
On September 25" 2006, staff presented information concerning various electricity aggregations, including H-GAC
Energy Purchasing Corporation, General Land Office (GLO), and a Gulf Coast version of Cities Aggregation Power
Project (CAPP),
During the workshop sessions, Council agreed to renew the current contract with H-GAC. At the City's request, H-GAC
will obtain pricing from pre-contracted vendors and GLO, This process will ensure CGP Solutions verifies all City ESls,
monitors the market on a daily basis, and recommends the optimum time to obtain pricing.
Staff Recommendation:
Approve a resolution authorizing signatory authority to the City Manager or Assistant City Manager to execute a
contract for the supply of electricity,
Action Required bv Council:
Authorizing the City Manager, Assistant City Manager, or their designated representative the authority to obtain pricing
and contract terms and enter into an agreement with an electricity provider through H-GAC Energy Purchasing

H-GAC Energy Purchasing Corporation
The governing body of the City of La Porte grants authorization to the City Manager, Assistant City Manager
and/or their designated representative to act in behalf of this entity to review H-GAC approved pricing offers from
contracted vendors or any requested provider and execute a favorable contract for the supply of electricity,
