. . ORDINANCE NO. 759-B '. AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2 OF ORDINANCE NO. 759, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE: Section 1. Section 2 of Ordinance No. 759 is hereby amended, and shall hereafter read as follows: "Section 2. A connection charge shall be made ~gainst each lot, tract, or parcel of land and the owner thereof whose water and sewer line shall be hereafter connected with any water main'or sanitary sewer main of the City of . La Porte, which cha~ge shall be at the following rates, which rates are a portion of the total cost of such water and sewer mains, to-wit: "(1) $0.75 per front foot of the lot, tract, or parcel or land to which water connections may be made, plus a water tappi~g charge of: "(a) On connections requiring a 5/8"x3/4" meter, a fee of $65.00; "(b) On connections requiring a l-inch water meter, a fee of $100.00; . "-:{c) On connections requiri~g a 1-1/4" or la~ger meter, at the actual cost of the meter and installation thereof; "(d) On existing connections requiring a larger meter, the cost of the new, larger meter shall be discounted by the cost of the existing smaller meter; II (e) If the connection requires an excavation in an asphalt or concrete street, necessi- tating street repairs, there will be an additional charge of the actual cost of said street repairs. ,'. "(2) $1.50 per front foot of the lot, tract or parcel of land to which. sanitary sewer connections may be made, plus a stack fee of $25.00.11
