Program Year 2006 Northside Neighborhood Single Family Construction project. This authorization expired after 180 days (January 10, 2009). At this time, City Council is being asked to extend the City Manager's authority to execute future sales contracts and related documents for an additional 180 days. Ron Bottoms, City Manager Dat vv l— ORDINANCE NO. *0'0-#-3090-A AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE LAND SALE CONTRACTS AND RELATED DOCUMENTS, AS PART OF THE H.O.M.E. PROGRAM YEAR 2006 NORTHSIDE NEIGHBORHOOD SINGLE FAMILY CONSTRUCTION PROJECT, BETWEEN THE CITY OF LA PORTE AND BUYERS OF PROPERTIES AT 224 NORTH 6TH STREET, ALSO DESCRIBED AS LOTS 3 AND 4, BLOCK 66y 211 NORTH 1ST STREET, ALSO DESCRIBED AS LOTS 23 AND 24, BLOCK 621 207 NORTH 2ND STREET, ALSO DESCRIBED AS LOTS 21, 22, AND 23, BLOCK 631 AND 216 NORTH 2ND STREET, ALSO DESCRIBED AS LOTS 3 AND 4, BLOCK 62, AT SUCH TIME AS BUYERS ARE LOCATEDY MAKING VARIOUS FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATING TO THE SUBJECTI CONTAINING A REPEALING CLAUSEI FINDING COMPLIANCE WITH THE OPEN MEETINGS LAW1 AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE: Section 1. The City Council hereby approves and authorizes the contract, agreement, or other undertaking described in the title of this ordinance, in substantially the form as shown in the documents which are attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute land sale contracts and related documents on behalf of the City of La Porte, with buyers of properties located at 224 North 6th Street, 211 North 1st Street, 207 North 2nd Street, and 216 North 2nd Street, at such time as buyers of said properties are located and agree to purchase same from the City. The authority given to the City Manager to execute the agreements and related documents approved by this ordinance shall expire one hundred eighty (180) days from its passage and approval. The City Secretary is hereby authorized to attest to all such signatures and to affix the seal of the City to all such documents. Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances inconsistent with the terms of this ordinance are hereby repealed; provided, however, that such repeal shall be only to the extent of such inconsistency and in all other respects this ordinance shall be cumulative of other ordinances regulating and governing the subject matter covered by this ordinance. Section 3. The city Council officially finds, determines, recites, and declares that a sufficient written notice of the date, hour, place and subject of this meeting of the City Council was posted at a place convenient to the public at the City Hall of the City for the time required by law preceding this meeting, as required by the open Meetings Law, Chapter 551, Texas Government Code; and that this meeting has been open to the public as required by law at all times during which this ordinance and the subject matter thereof has been discussed, considered and formally acted upon. The City Council further ratifies, approves and confirms such written notice and the contents and posting thereof. Section 4.
