SUMMARY & RECOMMENDATION
On July 26t\ Council approved that a Public Hearing for the Fiscal Year 2010-2011 Proposed
Budget be held on Monday, September 13, 2009, at the regularly scheduled Council meeting,
which begins at 6:00 p.m.
The City Council held budget workshops on August 9 through August 11, 2009 to discuss
proposed budgets for the fiscal year beginning October 1,2010 and ending September 30,2011.
The following presentation summarizes the result of the workshops held with City Council. All
changes made by Council were incorporated into the various budgets. These changes include:
Compounding Merit
$40,000 added for the Northside Housing Project
$360,000 added for Bulk heading at the Golf Course
$175,000 added for Sector 23 Street Paving
In addition, $8,400 has been added to the Hotel/Motel Fund Proposed Budget for the
Hotel/Motel Audits to be conducted by Muni Services. This service has identified $71,298 in
additional revenues for the City. Due to the consolidation of the two divisions in this fund, the
omission of this item was unnoticed when the proposed budget was submitted to Council.
