RESOLUTION NO. 2003- 0<1 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE TEMPORARY TRANSFER OF THE SECTIONS OF TWO STREETS TO THE HARRIS COUNTY ROAD LOG WHEREAS, the portions of the following streets in the City of La Porte are in need of repair and improvement; and WHEREAS, these streets include the overlay of North 4th Street (from West Polk to Barbour's Cut Blvd.) and North 5th Street (from West Main Street to Barbour's Cut Blvd.); and WHEREAS, the City of La Porte has requested that Harris County participate in the repair and improvement of these portions of streets. NOW, THERFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE, TEXAS THAT: The following areas are temporarily transferred to the Harris County Road Log to allow Harris County to perform repair and improvements to these streets: North 4th Street (from West Polk to Barbour's Cut Blvd.) and North 5th Street (from West Main Street to Barbour's Cut Blvd.). The City Manager sent a letter dated July 23, 2002 to Precinct 2 identifying two (2) streets that would fit within that proposed budget (attached). The streets identified were: . North 4th Street - West Polk to Barbour's Cut Blvd. . North 5th Street - Main Street to Barbour's Cut Blvd. In order to move forth with this Project, the Harris County Public Infrastructure Department has requested that the City approve a resolution temporarily transferring these streets to the Harris County Road Log to allow Harris County to legally perform repair and improvements to these streets. The attached resolution is offered for consideration. Once the improvements are made, the streets will be removed from the Road Log.
