Here is my suggested agenda for the organizational meeting of the permanent Board of Directors of the Fire District. 1. Call to order. 2. Approve minutes of meeting of the temporary Board of Directors, held on June , 2011. 3. Administer oath of office to the permanent Directors. 4. Permanent Directors draw lots for positions. Three (3) Directors shall serve terms that expire on September 1, 2012, and four (4) Directors shall serve terms expiring on September 1, 2013. 5. The Board shall elect a President and a Vice President from among its members, and appoint Tammy Kannarr as its Secretary. 6. Request the City of La Porte to obtain a Five Thousand Dollar ($5,000.00) bond on each Director. 7. Call a public hearing for July , 2011, to consider (1) the adoption of alternative budget procedures, and to consider (2) a budget for the fiscal year which begins October 1, 2011. (A copy of the proposed budget for the fiscal year which begins October 1, 2011, is attached to this agenda.) 8. Request Board Secretary to publish notice of the public hearings in the Houston Chronicle, and post notices on the City Hall bulletin board, not later than the 10th day before the public hearing. 702 W.
