RESOLUTION NO. 2004-11
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF VARIOUS STREETS TO THE
HARRIS COUNTY ROAD LOG
WHEREAS, the former Bayshore Municipal Utility District was annexed by the City of
La Porte, Texas; and
WHEREAS, the streets in the former District remain on the Harris County Road Log; and
WHEREAS, the City of La Porte has requested that Harris County remove these streets
from the Harris County Road Log and transfer them to the City of La Porte; and
WHEREAS, the City of La Porte has requested that various streets under the jurisdiction
of the City of La Porte be transferred to the Harris County Road Log.
NOW, THERFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LA PORTE, TEXAS THAT:
The following streets are transferred to the Harris County Road Log:
North P Street (Underwood to Sens Road) (2.53 miles)
Bridge (North P Street at B 1 06-00-00)
North H Street (Underwood to Sens Road) (2.53 miles)
Driftwood (Fairmont Parkway to Spencer Highway (.90 miles)
Lomax School Road (North H Street to North P Street (.69 miles)
Farrington Blvd. (Fairmont Parkway to Spencer Highway (.90 miles)
Canada Road (Fairmont Parkway to Spencer Highway (.88 miles)
PASSED AND APPROVED this the 27th day of September 2004.

SUMMARY & RECOMMENDATION
At the June 28, 2004 City Council meeting, the proposal to exchange roads currently on the
County Road Log in the former Bayshore MUD area for roads in the western portion of the City
was discussed. The Council indicated that it was interested in moving forward with this
proposal. The City streets to be transferred to the Harris County Road Log are listed below.
· North P Street From Underwood Road to Sens Road (2.53 miles)
. Bridge North P Street at Bl06-00-00
· North H Street Under wood Road to Sens Road (2.53 miles)
· Driftwood Fairmont Parkway to Spencer Highway (0.90 miles)
· Lomax School Road North H Street to North P Street (0.69 miles)
· Farrington Blvd Fairmont Parkway to Spencer Highway (0.90 miles)
· Canada Road Fairmont Parkway to Spencer Highway (0.88 miles)
In order to move forth with this Project, the Harris County Public Infrastructure Department has
requested that the City approve a resolution transferring these streets to the Harris County Road
Log. The attached resolution is offered for consideration.
