Pt. S.9th Street and West H Street — Not an ideal situation for closing of rights -of -way for the reasons as
follows:
• Preservation of adequate ROW for future long-range transportation improvements,
• Possible extension of West H Street up to SH 146,
• Potential access to the tract north of West H Street,
• Provide direct access to major commercial facilities along 8th Street,
• Minimize traffic congestion on westbound lanes at Fairmont Parkway during school closing
hours.
• Avoid private land use decisions and tenant based conflicts by the applicant,
• Partial closing is not feasible and may not be beneficial to the City and community as well.
I suggest West H Street should not be closed. Thx.m

Re: Closing of Yd Street between W. Barbours Cut and E Street
I, Ameen Narsi, in addition to the standard requirements for street closings, agree to
install two runs of 30 inch HDPE pipe, with two inlets, from E Street to the existing inlets on
Barbours Cut, according to the City of La Porte's specifications. The two new inlets at E Street
to be tied together. The new paving on 3'd Street will have a swell that will allow 4 inches of
water flow from E Street to Barbours Cut, if the city will close 3rd Street between Barbours Cut
and E Street.

Outstanding issues/conditions are as follows:
• Storm sewer at 301 W. BCB is installed w/o permit and City approval. Three existing inlets and
detention are not approved. Need City approval and inspection.
Parking lot material is not dust free surface. Surfacing was done without approval and City permit.
Resurfacing shall be required to carry the load of trucks and trailers.
• Furnish Harris County driveway permit for the western driveway along BCB. Specifications (width, radii)
are not in compliance with the City's driveway criteria.
Parking lot construction plan and stripping shall be required.
• Need landscaping along BCB at 3rd Street. Screening shall be required along detention in the rear.
