I want to express my fear and anger over the water retention/flooding issue that concerns ALL of us In this Circle of Homes in Summerwinds. #1 - the Developer of this land obviously did not have Competent People surveying elevations for Street Layouts and Home Slabs. Cervelle Homes lied to me also when we asked 9 it floods where my Home is before we signed on the dotted line. I can't Imagine why the Houses on the East side of East Desert Drive sit lower than all the others In this area. The street in front of our Homes floods, first and here lately a lot quicker than in the Past. #2 - The Retention. Pond is a JOKE -it does not work and will not work as long as the Ditch it drains into Is opened up where the drainage pipes clog up at Andrkks Street in Spenwkk Subdivision. The Ditch starts filling with water from rain and then the water from our Subdivision will drain until the Ditch water level gets high enough to badfflow into our Pond. Concrete recently poured In this Retention Pond looks nice BUT the Pond is still holding water at bottom because the outside Drainage Ditch backflows into it creating stagnant water, mosquitos, etc We need some serious HELP on this and we need it soon. Mr. Davis has asked and asked for help from our Government City of LaPorte, Harris County and anyone else who may be able to help us, but to avail - we are flooding faster than ever. I know - we can move somewhere else if we don't like it, but it Is not fair to the Family that buys my House - I probably won't tell them about it I will have my Home fixed after it floods the first time but I guarantee you a "FOR SALE" sign will go up after it is repaired. Don't misjudge me, I am angry just like other Folks here and we are very concerned- I will help any way I can to find a solution to this - I can be reached at Home 281-542-0524, Cell 281-777-0042 and my address Is 3617 East Desert Drive, La Porte, Texas 77571 Anytime. — Original Message — From: "Don" To: "Rusty Hargett" <rch@houston.rr.com>; "Fred Young" Sent: Thursday, September 06, 2007 4:44 PM Subject: Fw: Little Pond > — Original Message — > From: "Don" <dondudr@dcn2.net> > To- "Mayor Porter" <mayor@ci.la-porte tx.us>, "Sylvia Garcia Commisioner" ><sylvia_garda@pct2.co.harris.bLus>; "Martha Gillett > <GillettM@ci.la-porte tx.us>; "Jeff Brown" <jbrownl94@houston.rr.com>, > "Chuck Engworh" <district@d.la-porte.tx us>, "Chuck Engelhen" > <engelken@aol.com> > Sent. I don't know who this contractor is but I think he must have us on the back burner. As I have said It's not a matter of IF >> we going to flood but a matter of WHEN. We need to get the city involved to » see about puttin a bigger outlet pipe or put another one on top of this » one so when the water gets that high there will be another outlet to let the water out. » 1 can't express how serious I am about this.
