Staff reviewed recent submittal and offers the following:
• Submit proof of ownership.
• A note should be placed on site plan "No on -site car washing is proposed."
• RPZ is penciled in on domestic & irrigation meters. This needs to be placed on Original Mylar not with pencil.
• Add a note on the site plan — "Separate fence permit shall be required from the City prior to erection of any
fencing material."
• Cover up patching is unacceptable in proposed dumpster enclosure area. This should be corrected on original
mylar.
Once corrected (no penciled/glued), please submit a original Mylar for the Director's approval.

16'h Street, La Porte, Texas
Dear Mr. Slayton,
The Bench Mark used was NGS Mon. No. K-1227, Elevation 25.20 feet, NAVD
88, adj. June 1991. A level line was run from this bench mark to a manhole on
the west sige of N. 16th Street, opposite the northwesterly corner of the subject
tract. The elevation of found W cut in the rim of said manhole was determined to
be 19.10 feet.
On 12/21/2011 a level line was run from Floodplain RM No. 060035, Elevation
20.06 feet, NAVD 88, 2001 adj. to the aforesaid manhole and the elevation of the
found W cut on the rim of said manhole was determined to be 19.07 feet.
Therefore the difference between the two bench marks is 0.03 feet, based on the
two level lines and there would be no significant difference between the June
1991 adj. and the 2001 adj.

The referenced benchmark calls for a 1991 adjustment. The BFE provided by FIRM is on a
2001 adjustment. Please provide a conversion factor between the two. We must compare
apples to apples when determined the impact to the floodplain. Ted Guthrie the
surveyor is working on this but it may take some time.
2. Please assure the berm being constructed in the back will not cause water to pond on the
adjacent tract. Re: revised Civil Plan
3. From your proposed elevations we are calculating that you are introducing quite a bit more
fill into the floodplain than 0.284 cubic yards as shown on the express review sheet. Re:
revised Civil Plan
4. You are showing a quantity of 6.284 acre-feet on sheet C-1 as the amount of fill introduced
into the floodplain which calculates to roughly 458 cubic yards. Re: revised Civil Plan
5. Need to show on site plan RPZ backflow devices on domestic and irrigation meters. It is
indicated on the "Proposed Development Site Plan" sheet. Do you want it

Dear Mr. Broadhead:
Staff reviewed the above referenced site plan and found the following items need to be addressed.
I. Need engineer's seal and signature on the site plan.
2. Show type of development.
3. Provide proof of ownership. Legal description needs to match with HCAD Info.
4. Delete all references of build out from the site plan.
5. Dumpster with enclosure needs to be shown on the site plan.
6. Identify number of proposed plantings on the site plan.
7. Correct to show Flood Statement with suffix L and dated June 18, 2007.
8. Need Flood Plain Development Permit from the City.
9. Furnish Harris County driveway permits prior to building permit issuance.
10. Need to show on site plan RPZ backflow devices on domestic and irrigations meters.
11. Remove a note from site plan "Special Trade Contractor".
12. Add to notes: Separate irrigation and sign permits are required from the City.
Detention/Drainage
13. Harris County Express Review Sheet will be required.
14. Please provide volume mitigation calculations for the cut/fill volumes introduced into the Flood plain.
15. How is the proposed pond draining?
16. N. 16th Street is Harris County. Detention volume criteria will be 0.65 acre-feet/acre.
17. How did you calculate the allowable discharge rate? Based on what event and area?
18. The slopes on the proposed pipe do not match the flow line elevations.
19. Please provide volume calculations to assure there is adequate mitigation volume provided.
20. Must provide underground storm sewers on this project.
21. The cost of a'/4 " irrigation meter is $388.00.
22. The cost of a 1" domestic meter/tap is $720.00.
23. The development cost for water equals $6,719.16.
24. A 6" sewer tap/inspection fee is $340.00.
25. The development cost for sewer equals $12,049.80.
26. Zoning permit fee is $50.00.
(Note: All Fees shall be due at the building permit issuance.)
