WHEREAS, the City of La Porte foreclosed on a property ("the property") through a delinquent
tax lawsuit and judgment identified as follows:
LOT 1 IN BLOCK 249 OF TOWN OF LA PORTE, AN ADDITION IN HARRIS
COUNTY, TEXAS, ACCORDING TO THE MAP OR PLAT THEREOF
RECORDED IN VOLUME 8, PAGE 16 OF THE MAP RECORDS OF HARRIS
COUNTY, TEXAS. (ACCOUNT # 024-015-049-0001)
WHEREAS, the City of La Porte remains unpaid after exhausting all legal means to satisfy the
collection of the delinquent taxes due and owing to the City of La Porte, including conducting a
public auction of the property by the Harris County Sheriff whereby the property was struck off to
the City of La Porte and;
WHEREAS, being no bids for the property at the tax sale on December 1, 2015, the City of La
Porte now holds the property in trust to secure the payment of taxes, penalties, interest and costs
owed to the City of La Porte;
WHEREAS, the property held in trust by the City of La Porte is exempt from taxation and it is in
the best interest of the City of La Porte to have the property returned to the active tax roll as a
taxable property;
WHEREAS, the City of La Porte has received an offer of $5,700.00 to purchase the property from
BP Coastal Builders & Developers, LLC.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED by the City of La Porte:
That all of the above paragraphs are true, correct and in the best interest of the City of La
Porte and as such they are hereby incorporated in full and made a part of this Resolution;
2. That the City of La Porte accepts the tax resale offer by BP Coastal Builders & Developers,
LLC and authorizes the City Manager of the City of La Porte to sign and execute the deed
on behalf of the City of La Porte as Trustee for itself and the other Taxing Authorities, to
transfer title to the person submitting the offer to purchase the property.

ITESELF AND THE LA PORTE INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT, HARRIS COUNTY,
HARRIS COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION, HARRIS COUNTY FLOOD
CONTROL DISTRICT, PORT OF HOUSTON AUTHORITY OF HARRIS COUNTY,
HARRIS COUNTY HOSPITAL DISTRICT and SAN JACINTO COMMUNITY COLLEGE
DISTRICT, acting by and through its duly authorized official ("GRANTOR") as authorized by
Section 34.05, Texas Property Tax Code, for and in consideration of the sum of TEN DOLLARS
AND 00/100 ($10.00) AND OTHER GOOD AND VALUABLE CONSIDERATION, in hand
paid by BP COASTAL BUILDERS & DEVELOPERS, LLC ("GRANTEE") the receipt of
which is hereby acknowledged and confessed, has conveyed and quitclaimed and by these
presents do convey and quitclaim unto said grantee all rights, title and interest of the CITY OF
LA PORTE, FOR THE USE AND BENEFIT OF ITSELF AND ALL OTHER TAXING UNITS

PORTS .INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT vs. FARTHING, INC., said property being
described as:
LOT 1 IN BLOCK 249 OF TOWN OF LA PORTE, AN ADDITION IN HARRIS COUNTY, TEXAS,
ACCORDING TO THE MAP OR PLAT THEREOF RECORDED IN VOLUME 8, PAGE 16 OF THE
MAP RECORDS OF HARRIS COUNTY, TEXAS.

This conveyance is made and accepted subject to the following matters -to the extent that
the same are in effect at this time: any and all rights of redemption, restrictions, covenants,
conditions, easements, encumbrances and outstanding mineral interests, if any, relating to the
hereinabove described property, but only to the extent they are still in effect, shown of record in
the hereinabove mentioned County and State, and to all zoning laws, regulations and ordinances
of municipal and/or other governmental authorities, if any but only to the extent that they are still
in effect, relating to the hereinabove described property.
TO HAVE AND TOROLD said premises, together with all and singular the rights,
privileges and appurtenances thereto in any manner belonging unto the said BP COASTAL
BUILDERS & DEVELOPERS, LLC, his heirs and assigns forever, so that neither the CITY OF
LA PORTE, FOR THE USE AND BENEFIT OF ITSELF AND ALL OTHER TAXIING UNITS
THAT ESTABLISHED TAX LIENS IN CAUSE NO.2014-01933 and any person claiming
under it shall at any time hereafter have, claim or demand any right or title to the aforesaid
premises or appurtenances, or any part thereof.
Grantee accept the property in "AS IS" condition, subject to any environmental

conditions that might have or still exist on said property and subject to the rights of any parties in
possession of the property.
Post judgment taxes and taxes for the current year are assumed by Grantee.
IN TESTIMONY, WHEREOF, CITY OF LA PORTE, FOR THE USE AND BENEFIT
OF ITSELF AND ALL OTHER TAXING UNITS THAT ESTABLISHED TRLIENS IN
