They must be installed within 30 ft. of the vent hood and in a location/direction leading to an exit. 4) The system shall comply with UL-300. 5) The Fire Marshal's Office must witness a function test of the system. Contact the Fire Marshal's Office 24hrs in advance to schedule a system test.
