Doug,
On 12/4/01 1 provided you, Gwen & Masood with my comments on CLP #01-8233. You & I had briefly visited about
whether the A & L site (1728 Hwy. 146 N) needed to get tied onto city sewer since our main was right out front. They are
currently proposing a new portable office building & plan to use a holding tank. My notes to Masood. referenced the sewer
ordinance/issue & suggested he check with you.
My sewer comment was not included in the 12/4/O1 letter. According to Masood, Carlos Martinez told him we couldn't
make people tie onto city sewer for an existing site regardless of expansion & he told him to ignore my comment.
I explained to Masood that the City has req'd. residential & commercial customers to tie onto city sewer as per our
ordinance. He asked me if I had talked with you about this and what should be done. I told him that my 12/4/01 written
comments suggested he get with you on how to proceed concerning this issue.
I recommended he talk with you.

Per our conversation this morning, I have prepared a work order for A&L
Sandblasting to service a new office trailer. The request does not require
the construction of a new pole line. It only requires that HL&P sets a
transformer on the pole.
Please release the permit to HLP as soon as you can. The customer is
scheduled for service next week.
