Dust -Free Material - #P2009-003. Purpose: To utilize an asphalt emulsion product for driveways and parldng lots as an alternative to standard concrete and hot -mix asphalt surfaces. Timing: One-year trial period for use by the public and staff. At the end of that trial period, staff shall review the use of the material to determine if it satisfied the city's criteria for future continued use as a "dust -free material". Policy: Allow installation of a stabilized sub -grade, flex base and application of initial and remedial environmentally safe spray applications as per manufacturer's specifications. In addition, the Certification Letter shall include the contractor's schedule for re-evaluation of the initial installation and remedial spray applications required to maintain the required dust -free surface. By utilizing this City policy in their development, the developer/owner/tenant understands and agrees to take all steps necessary to maintain a "dust -free surface" at all times.
