This alley is to be closed so that this block will <br />be 100% contiguous. With the alley closed, the design and layout of buildings <br />for an apartment project will be enhanced and the land will be used more effi- <br />ciently' The alley serves no benefit to the project. <br /> <br />Enclosed with this application please find the following items which should make <br />the appl ication complete: <br /> <br />1. A recent survey of Blocks 1122, 1121 and 1160 showing the alley <br />in Block 1122. <br /> <br />2. An opinion letter from an attorney concerning the applicants good <br />fee simple title. <br /> <br />3. A copy of the warranty deed and a copy of the owner's title pol icy, <br />recently updated. <br /> <br />4. A cashier's check for $100.00 payable to the city as the application <br />fee. <br /> <br />5. The hold harmless statement by the applicant as required. <br /> <br />Since alleys in Blocks 1121 and 1160 have previously been closed by this same <br />appl icant it is bel ieved this precedent will have a bearing on this application. <br />The appl icant has taken the I iberty to contact an appraiser, Mr. Otis Graham <br />approved by the city. <br /> <br />He estimates a cost of $150.00 for his service of appraising this alley.
