Herrera <br />City Manager <br />City of LaPorte <br />City Hall _ <br />LaPorte, Texas <br /> <br />Re: All of Lots 8 and 9, Block 1264 <br />Town of LaPorte, Harris County, Texas; (Golf Course Site) <br /> <br />Dear Bob: <br /> <br />In connection with this purchase by the City of LaPort~, I enclose herewith the <br />City's original Deed, from Bertha Kathryn West, which has been recorded under <br />Harris County Clerk's file No. K784746', and the City's Owner Title Policy in the <br />amount of the purchase price, $1,895.99, subject only to the matters shown <br />thereon. <br /> <br />The original Deed and Title Policy should be put in the City's permanent Real <br />Estate Records. <br /> <br />The following additional steps should be taken by the City: <br /> <br />1) The City was credited with tax proration to the date of the Deed, <br />September 23, 1986, at closing. The City should obtain 1986 tax bills, <br />when available, fran each of the taxing agencies, on a prorated <br />basis from. January 1, 1986 through September 23, 1986, and pay the same. <br /> <br />2) The City should notify the Harris County Appraisal District of this <br />Purchase, and ask that the property be rendered in the name of the <br />City of LaPorte, and placed on the exanpt rolls. <br /> <br />It was a pleasure to have been of service to you in this matter. <br /> <br />Yours very truly, <br /> <br />~at <br /> <br />Knox W.
