On April 8, 2009, a quitclaim deed dated April 1, 2009, but with an effective date of January 1, 2009, from Jettie L. McClymond, grantor (by B. Curtis McClymond as agent and attorney- in-fact), to the City of La Porte, grantee, was filed for record in the Official Public Records of Real Property of Harris County, Texas, under file number 20090144798, pages 063-89-1087 thru 063- 89-1088, purporting to quitclaim the following described property: . Lots 21 and 22, Block 73, Bayfront Addition to the City of La -1) Porte, Harris County, Texas. 2. The execution, and any attempted quitclaim or conveyance thereby, of the above referenced quitclaim deed was without the City of La Porte's knowledge, approval or authority. 3. Based on the above, the quitclaim deed was executed, filed, and recorded without proper knowledge, approval or authority of the City of La Porte, Texas. The City did not, and does not, accept the quitclaim deed and disclaims any interest in the property therein described. Therefore, the quitclaim deed has no legal effect and is null and void.
