<br />KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS:

<br />COUNTY OF HARRIS

<br />THAT We, Joseph B. Hicks and Joy Hicks, of Harris County,
<br />
<br />Texas, hereinafter called the Grantor (whether one or more) for and
<br />
<br />in consideration of the sum of Ten and NO/lOO Dollars ($10.00) cash

<br />and other good and valuable considerations, to us in hand paid by
<br />the City of La Porte, 'a municipal corporation, of Harris County,
<br />Texas, the receipt and sufficiency of which is hereby acknowledged

<br />and confessed, have this day GRANTED, BARGAINED, SOLD AND CONVEYED
<br />and by these presents does GRANT, BARGAIN, SELL AND CONVEY unto the
<br />said CITY OF LA PORTE, TEXAS, a municipal corporation, its
<br />
<br />successors and assigns, for use by the City of La Porte, the
<br />
<br />perpetual right, privilege and easement, with appropriate rights of
<br />
<br />ingress and egress and reasonable working area for construction and
<br />
<br />maintenance, to enter upon and construct, reconstruct, maintain,
<br />
<br />operate, inspect, replace, repair and remove, a twelve inch (12n)
<br />water line and facilities, over and across certain lands and
<br />
<br />premises owne~ by the said Grantor, and located in Harris County,
<br />Texas, said easement being more particularly described as a ten foot
<br />
<br />(10') wide strip of land, immediately south of and contiguous to the
<br />
<br />right-of-way of Spencer Highway, based on one hundred foot (100')
<br />right-of-way width, the property being burdened with said ten foot
<br />(10') wide water line easement being more particularly described as
<br />
<br />follows, to-wit:

<br />Lots 25 through 27, inclusive, Block 2, Spenwick Place,
<br />Section One (1), an addition in Harris County, Texas,
<br />according to the map or plat recorded in Volume 42,
<br />Page 64 of the Map Records of Harris County, Texas.
