INTEROFFICE MEMORANDUM
TO: MAYOR & CITY COMMISSION DATE: OCTOBER 5, 1979
FROM: COMMISSIONER VIRGINIA CLINE
SUBJECT: AGENDA ITEMS
CABLE TELEVISION:
I have reviewed the Cable T.V. proposals and find that basically
all four companies offer about the same as far as programming.
I would haveā¢to judge a selection by comparing their service in
other cities where they now have a franchise. I feel that we
need to take time to thoroughly investigate all companies.
CHARTER REVISION:
I am in favor of submitting the 4-3 plan to the Justice Department.
LEGAL NOTICE
At 7:10 P.M. on October 10, 1979, the City Commission of the City

to comment on the granting of a proposed franchise for a cable
television service within the City of La Porte, Texas. Applicants
for the proposed franchise will be available for discussion and
to answer any questions.
