STATE OF TEXAS)( <br />COUNTY OF HARRIS )( <br />CITY OF LA PORTE)( <br />ANIMAL SHELTER ADVISORY MINUTES <br />A regular meeting was held on March 12, 2013 and called to order at 6:00 p.m., at the La Porte <br />Police Department in the Administrative Conference Room, 3001 N. 23,d, and La Porte, Texas. <br />Members in attendance were, Chief of Police Ken Adcox, Animal Control Supervisor Clarence <br />Anderson, Committee Member Donna Medford DVM, and Committee Advisor Kimberly <br />Ferguson. <br />1. Call to Order at 6:00 p.m. <br />2. Approval of the minutes from December 4, 2012. Motion was made by Clarence <br />Anderson and seconded by Donna Medford to approve the minutes fi•om December 4, <br />2012. Motion was approved. <br />Update on the Animal Shelter Donation Account: Animal Control Supervisor Clarence <br />Anderson updated the committee of the statues of the Donation Account. Clarence <br />Anderson asked the committee to approve a expenditure up to $1200.00 for vaccinations. <br />Motion was made by Clarence Anderson and seconded by Donna Medford to approve the <br />$1200.00 for vaccines. Motion was approved. Clarence Anderson asked the Board to <br />approve up to $300.00 for items to help dress up the animals for adoption events. He <br />advised that they have things donated but would like to have a supply on hand for the <br />events. Motion was made by Donna Medford and seconded by Chief Ken Adcox to <br />spend up to $300.00 on items to help dress the animals up for adoption. Motion was <br />approved. <br />4. Presentation of Administrative/Statistical Reports by Animal Control Supervisor: <br />Animal Control Supervisor Clarence Anderson went over the Statistical Reports for the <br />Shelter. <br />5. Clarence Anderson went over the status of the new Animal Shelter. The Committee <br />discussed possible ways for raising funds to help in some of the cost for extras at the <br />Animal Shelter. <br />6. Committee Comments. No Comments were made. <br />7. Adjournment: Motion was made by Clarence Anderson and seconded by Donna <br />Medford DVM to adjourn. Motion was approved <br />Approved on this day cc- --, , 2012. <br />
