' <br /> The. ordinance was read by the secretary. <br />Alderman Sharp offered a motion seconded by .alderman Buff that <br />_ the 'ordinance be adopted and that the rules requiring that an <br /> ordinance be read at three several meetings be suspended. <br /> Roll call of the aldermen showed the following results. <br /> Alderman Fred Ruff Yes. Tolle, Yes Sharp, Yes, Sandel Yes. <br /> Alderman Wall was abscent. ~ "' <br />The vote being unanimous in favor of the adoption pf the ordinance <br /> the Mayor declared Ordinance No. 238 in full effect. <br /> The secreta.~ay presented an appeal from the F,ehool -Board asking <br /> that the city clean out the ditch into which the ceptic tank - <br /> empties. <br />Alderman. Ruff offered a motion seconded b y Alderman Tolle to <br /> have the street and alley committee investigate the matter. <br /> Carried. <br /> The secretary was instructed to notify the contractors for the <br /> construction of a spillway to proceed with his works Also the <br /> contractor for the painting of the lift plant houses. <br />The secretary was instructed to procure questioaires to be used <br />in the examination of applicants for the off ice of Plumbing <br />inspector. <br />No further business to some before the house ad~ourrunent was <br />taken. _ <br />(~~ c: <br />City Secretary. <br /> <br />Mayor . <br />
