123 <br /> <br />MINQTES - SPECIAL MEET ING <br />LA PCRTE C 1T Y COMBQISS ION -MARCH 3, 1gI~8 <br />10:00 A. M. <br />Special meeting of the City Commission was called to order by Mayor H. J. <br />Pfeiffer, with the following members and Gity officials presents Cormiiss- <br />ioner James E. Stewart, Supt. of Public Works Raleigh Erwin, Police Chief <br />Walter Roberson, City Attorney Jno. S. Kiibler, and City Glerk J. E.Mul- <br />doon. <br />Mr. J. E. Clegg, representing the Humble Oil & Refining Company, appeared <br />before the Commission, and offered the Citg, without post, cn~.e Master Radio <br />Station, General Electric, with three Mobile Units, seven years old. He <br />alas suggested that the City give the equipmea~t a complete overhauling, if <br />they accept this station. He also stated the City would have to have a <br />lioeased operator. <br />Motion by Stewart, second by Pfeiffer, to accept the radio equipment and to <br />write a letter of appreciation to the Humble Oil & Refining Company. <br />Carried. <br /> <br />Police Chief Roberson volunteered to secure proper forms froa- the Federal <br />Co:mnunioatioana Commission. <br />Motion by Stewart, second by Pfeiffer, to accept and approve bid documents <br />at 10:00 A. M.
