<br />Speoial meeting of the City Comrniasion was oalled to order by Mayor Pfeiffer,
<br />with the following members and City officials prosents Commissioners Jas. S.
<br />Crate, Jr. and Jas. E. Stewart, Supt. of Publio Works Raleigh Ertin, John T.
<br />Mo Afee and John Withers, representing Myatt C. Hedriok, City Engineer, A. H.
<br />Lambert, owner and Editor of the La Porte Reporter, City Attorney Jno. S.
<br />giibler, and J. E. Muldoon, City Clerk.
<br />~. ~P. W. Mo Millan, Developer, and Mr. E. E. Weaver, with the Texas Abstraot
<br />Company, appeared before the Comsaisaion in oonneation with building and survey
<br />lines in the proximity oP San Jaointo Homes.

<br />This matter was referred to the City Engineer for investigation.
<br />Motion by Stewart, seoond by Crate, that the following Resolution be adopted:
<br />RESOLUTION
<br />AUTHORIZING THS MAYOR AND CITY TREASURER TO ISSUE A CHECH TO
<br />ERNEST L. BROfRN, JR., IN PAYMENT OF CON'PRACT.
<br />WHEREAS, the City Comsaiaaion of the City of La Porte, Texas, has heretofore
<br />entered into a oontraot with Ernest L. Brown, Jr., of Houston, Texas, in conneot-
<br />ion with the isauanoe by said City of La Porte of its Waterworks and Sewer System
<br />Revenue Bonds, Series 19Is8; and
<br />WHEREAS, said Ernest L. Bror-n, Jr., has parried out all of the terms of said
<br />oontract and is now entitled to the payment of his tee under said oontraot;
<br />THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION ~' THE CITY OF LA PORTS,
<br />TEXAS:
<br />That the Mayor sad City Treasurer of the-City of La Porte be,~and they are
<br />hereby e~uthorited and direoted to issue a oheok to Ernest L. Brown, Jr., of
<br />Houston; Texas, in the amount of Five Thousand-Two Hundred and Fifty 05,250.00)
<br />Dollars, in payment of his tee under a~aontraot between the City Commission of
<br />said City and the said Ernest L. Brown, Jr., for the ttiarnishing of-all neoessary
<br />legal prooeedings, printed bbnda, and nll other neoesaary aervioes, in oonneotion
<br />with the isauanoe by said City of La Porte of its Waterworks and Sewer System
<br />Revenue Bonds, Series 191.8.
