M. <br />Special meeting of the City Commission was called to order by Mayor <br />Pfeiffer, with the follawing members and City officials present: CaHn- <br />missioners Jas. S. Crate, Jr. and Jas. E. Stewart, Supt. of Public <br />Yorks, Raleigh Erwin, John T. Me Afee and John ~~Tithers, representing <br />'uYyatt C. Hedrick, City Engineer, A. H. Lambert, olvner and Editor of <br />the La Porte Reporter, City Attorney Jno. S. Kiibler, and J. E. Mul- <br />doon, City Clerk. <br />Mr. Gera]~d Mora appeared before the Commission and discussed with them <br />the proposed construction of aewer mains and Sewage Disposal Plant. <br />The City Engineer and City Attorney were instructed to check into the <br />matter further and report their findings at the next meeting. <br />Motion by Crate, second by Stewart, to accept Southwestern Be11 Tele- <br />phone Company Draft No. x.052, in the amount of ~33~•33 ~ ~ P~~ of <br />19l~.7 gross taxes for the period January 1, 19l.~7 to December 31, 191}7. <br />Carried. <br />L` <br />potion by Crate, second by Stewart, to authorize extension of water and <br />sewer lines through~Bloek 21, La Porte, in. accordance with contract be- <br />tween the City and Tam.
