J. <br />Pfeiffer, with the following members and pity officials present: Ccmuniss- <br />ioners Jas. S. Crate, Jr., and VYm. P. Jones, Wm. Maness, representing Wyatt <br />C. Hedrick, City Engineer, Jas. A. Me Cauley, Building & Plumbing 7nspeator, <br />Carl C. Patrick, City Attorney. <br />Minutes of the last meeting were read and approved. Minutes were taken by <br />Carl C. Patrick in the absence of J. F. Muldoon, City Clerk. <br />Ccrmnissioner Crate vvas requested to notify the Mayor's and Councilman's <br />Association who would attend from La Porte the regular meeting to be held at <br />Baytown. <br />jhe City Attorney was instructed to answer letter dated August 29, 1~9, <br />from the Federal Works Agency in regard to advance made for plan preparation- <br />on Incinerator and Water Works plans. <br />Motion by Crate, second by Jones, to pay 'JiTyatt C. Hedrick, City Engineer, <br />the sum of ~ 15.93 on their Estimate N o. 7. <br />Carried. <br />the Mayor resammended that the City purchase from Du Pont Company, 1000 lbs. <br />of D. D. 1. at x.33 amts per pound, plus freight. <br />Mot ion by Jones, second by Crate, to purchase 1000 pounds of D. D. I'. from <br />Du Pont Company, as reeonunended by the Mayor. <br />Carried. <br />Motiaos by Crate, second by Janes, to shell North 6th Street, from West Main <br />to North C Street, property owners along said street to pay X175.00, same to <br />be prorated and added monthly to water bills until paid. <br />Carried. <br />fl~otion by Crate, seeaa~d by Jones, to shell North C Street from 6th Street to <br />10th Street, saw to be used as by-pass road in. oonneoticrs with paving West <br />Main. <br />Carried. <br />Motion by Crate, second by Jones, that the following bills, in the aggregate <br />amount of ~ 1,617.70 , be paid: <br />
