• • <br />MINUTES - SPE CIAL MEETING <br />LA POR.TE CITY CONAZISSION - DECEMBER 30, 1961 <br />9:00 A. M~ <br />Special meeting of the City Commission was called to order by Mayor H. P. <br />Pfeiffer, with the following Corunissioners present: Stabs, Osburn~ Brown <br />and Dunhast, and City Attorney Pitman. and City Clerk Frank G. Baker. <br />Motion by Stabs, second by Brown, that Ordinance No. 634 after being duly <br />published as required by the City Charter, be finally passed and approved <br />with the following vote: AYES: Osborn, Brown, Donbas: and Staba; NOES: <br />None. The caption of such adopted ordinance reads as follows: <br />AN OR DINANCE ANNEXING THE HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED TERRITORY TO <br />THE CITY OF LA PORTS, TEXAS, AND EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY LIMITS <br />OF THE SAID CITY OF LA PORTS, TEXAS, SO AS TO INCLUDE SAID <br />HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED TERRITORY, GRANTING TO ALA INHABITANTS <br />AND OWNERS OF SAID PROPERTY ALL OF THE RIGHTS AND PRIVILEGES <br />OR OTHER CIT22ENS, BINDING SAID INHABITANTS BY ALL THE ACTS, <br />ORDINANCES, RESOLUTIONS AND REGULATIONS OF THE CITY OF LA PORTS, <br />TEXAS, RESERVING AND PRESERVING ALL RIGHTS, POWERS AND DUTIES <br />AS TO TERRITORY INCLUDED IN P RIOR ORDINANCES. <br />Carried. <br />Motioa by Osbur~,second by Brown, that Ordinance No. 637, be passed amd <br />approved by the following vote: AYES: OSBURN, BROWN, DUNHAM AND STABS; <br />NOES: None. The caption of such adopted ordinance No. 63?, amending <br />Ordinance No. 6 34, reads as follows: <br />AN ~.DINANCE FINALLY ANNEXING THE HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED TERRITORY <br />TO THE CITY OF LA PORTS, TEXAS, AND EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY LIMITS <br />OF THE SAID CITY OF LA PORTS, TEXAS, SO AS TO INCLUDE SAID HERE- <br />INAFTER DESCRIBED TERRITORY, GRANTING TO ALL TNHABITANT5 AND <br />OWNERS OF SAID PROPERTY ALL OF THE RIGHTS AND PRIVILEGES OF OTHER. <br />CITIZENS, BINDING SAID INHABIT ANTS HY ALL THE ACTS, ORDINANCES, <br />RESOLUTIONS, AND REGULATIONS OF THE QTY OF LA PORTS, ~'EXAS, <br />RESERVING AND PRESERVING ALL RIGHTS, POWERS AND DUTIES AS TO <br />TERRITORY INCLUDED IN PRIOR 0 RDINANCES. <br />Carried. <br />Motion by Stabs, second by Dunham, that the City take bids on police station <br />and fail., on the 19th day of January, 1962, at 7:00 P,M. <br />Carried. <br />Motion by Dunhaa:~ second by Osborn, that Ordinance No. 635, after_beibg du]tiy <br />published as required by the City Charter, be finally passed and approved <br />with the following vote: AYES: OSBURN~ SR,OWN, STABS AND DUNHAM~ N(~S: <br />None.
