Mayor Pfeiffer called to order a Public Hearing to consider <br />the re-zoning of Block 969, Town of La Porte, from Class "A" <br />Single Family to Class "B" Commercial. No one spoke for or <br />against the request. <br />Commissioner Boyce made a motion, seconded by Commissioner Compton, <br />that the zoning classifi:ation of Block 969, Town of La Forte <br />be changed from Class "A" Single Family to Class "B" Commercial. <br />Mot ion carried. <br />+ + + <br />2. The minutes of the regular meeting of December 4, 9967, were <br />approved as written. <br />+ + + <br />3. Mr. 0. L. Davis stated that he had purchased Lots <br />Block 5, Town of La Porte assuming that they were <br />commercial use, but that he has beer advised t„at <br />residential, and he cannot get a building permit <br />building. The Ctty Attorney advised Mr. Davis to <br />for the re-zoning of said Cots. <br />99 and 92, <br />zoned for <br />it is zoned <br />to build a commercial <br />request a hearing <br />Commissioner Compton made a motion, seconded by Commissioner <br />Boyle, that the Building Inspector be authorized to issue a <br />building permit for a cor;;mericai building on Lots 99 and 92, <br />Block 5, Town of La Porte, upon the owner signing a non-waiver <br />letter, and further condition, that a X50.00 zoning fee be paid <br />for a hearing to be held at 7:00 P.M,., January 8, 9968, to <br />reclassify said property from residential to commercial, with <br />the understanding, that Mr. Davis preceeds at his own risk, <br />suf~ect to the outcome of the hearing.
