CALL TO ORDER — Mayor Rigby called the meetinq to order at 6.00 p.m. <br />2. INVOCATION — The invocation was given by Pastor Shawn Williams, Gates of Praise. <br />PLEDGES — Will be led by Councilperson Rick Helton. <br />U.S. Flag <br />Texas Flag: Honor the Texas Flag. I pledge allegiance to thee, Texas, one state, under God, one, and <br />indivisible. <br />3. CITIZEN COMMENT (Generally limited to five minutes per person; in accordance with state law, the <br />time may be reduced if there is a high number of speakers or other considerations.) <br />Mayor Rigby welcomed members of Boy Scouts of America Pack 1773. <br />4. CONSENT AGENDA (Approval of Consent Agenda items authorizes each to be implemented in <br />accordance with staff recommendations provided. An item may be removed from the consent agenda <br />and added to the Statutory Agenda for full discussion upon request by a member of the Council present <br />at this meeting.) <br />a. Approve the minutes of the September 11, 2023, regular City Council meeting and the <br />September 13,2023, special session of the City Council (joint meeting with the La Porte <br />Planning and Zoning Commission). Authorize the City Manager to execute an agreement between the City of La Porte, Texas, <br />and the Association of Bayport Companies (ABC) for provision of EMS coverage in the <br />Bayport Industrial District, for a three (3)-year term from October 1, 2023, through September <br />307 2026. Authorize the City Manager to execute agreements between the City of La Porte, Texas, and <br />companies and/or businesses located in the Battleground Industrial District, for provision <br />of EMS coverage, for a three (3)-year term from October 1, 2023, to September 30, 2026.
