• • <br />MINUTES - MAKE UP MEETING <br />OF THE <br />LA PORTE FIRE CODE REVIEW COMMITTEE <br />APRIL 14, 1977 <br />MEMBERS OF THE COMMITTEE PRESENT: <br />J.M. Goodman, Rusty Shepard, Jack Lockridge, Fred Westergren, <br />Royal Shepard, Vic Taylor and D.R. McLaughlin. <br />Rusty Shepard was representing Russell Shepard. <br />MEMBERS OF THE COMMITTEE ABSENT: <br />J. S,ease, J.J. Meza, D. Dunham, Roy Groda, H. Carlos Smith, <br />Joe Ligi and Al Steckman. <br />PRESIDING: Jack Lockridge, Chairman. <br />+ + + <br />1. CALL TO ORDER - Jack Lockridge called the meeting to order. <br />2. READING OF MINUTES - Secretary Paul R. Hickenbottom, read <br />the minutes of the last regular meeting, dated March 3. 1977• <br />The minutes were approved as read, by the following vote: <br />Ayes: All For <br />Nays None <br />3. OLD BUSINESS - It was recommended by the committee during <br />the March 3, 1977, meeting, a person from the Zoning Board be <br />ask to attend the meetings as an adviser. Mr. Charles <br />Christensen, Chairman of the Zoning Board was in attendance <br />at this meeting. <br />4. NEW BUSINESS - There was an open discussion between <br />Mr. Charles Christensen, Zoning Board Chairman, and the <br />committee on what could be done to have a working # 1 Fire <br />Zone, and what problems it might create between the Building <br />and Fire Departments and Zoning Board. <br />D.R. McLaughlin, made the suggestion, and it was approved by <br />the committee that three members draw up a proposed # 1 Fire <br />Zone, and present it to the committee at the next meeting, for <br />their approval. Members to draw up proposed # 1 Fire Zone are: <br />Jack Lockridge, D.R. McLaughlin and Secretary P.R. Hickenbottom. <br />
