• <br />MINUTES - REGULAR MEETING <br />OF THE <br />LA PORTE FIRE CODE REVIEW COMMITTEE <br />APRIL 21, 1977 <br />MEMBERS OF THE COMMITTEE PRESENT: <br />D.R. McLaughlin, Jack Lockridge, Royal Shepard, Vic Taylor, <br />Fred Westergren, Al Steckman, J.M. Goodman, Rusty Shepard and <br />Bob Crager. <br />Bob Crager was representing Joe Sease. <br />MEMBERS OF THE COMMITTEE ABSENT: <br />J.J. Meza, D. Dunham, Roy Groda, H. Carlos Smith and <br />Joe Ligi. <br />PRESIDING: Jack Lockridge, Chairman. <br />+ + + <br />1. CALL TO ORDER = Jack Lockridge called the meeting to order. <br />2. READING OF MINUTES - Secretary Paul R. Hickenbottom, read <br />the minutes of the last make up meeting, dated April 14~, 1977• <br />The minutes were approved as read, by the following vote: <br />Ayes: All For <br />Nays: None <br />3. OLD BUSINESS - It was recommended by the committee after <br />the suggestion was made by D.R. McLaughlin in the April 14~, 1977 <br />meeting, a committee of three members draw up a proposed <br />#1 fire zone, and present it at this meeting for the committees <br />approval. <br />4. NEW BUSINESS - D.R. McLaughlin explained what the #1 fire <br />zone committee had done, and the problems it had encountered <br />and that it did not have a proposed #1 fire zone to present <br />to the committee for it's approval at this time. <br />Jack Lockridge, ask for and received the approval of the <br />committee on his recommendation, that the setting of the <br />#1 fire zone be a continuing project, and that the committee <br />give a report of their progress at each meeting, and that <br />the review committee get started on the revision of the fire <br />code. <br />
