CHUCK ENGELKEN, CHAIR Councilmember District 2 JAY MARTIN Councilmember, District 5 BRANDONLUNSFORD Councilmember At Large A RICK HELTON Councilmember, District 4 Alternate MINUTES OF MEETING OF FISCAL AFFAIRS COMMITTEE NOVEMBER 14, 2022 The Fiscal Affairs Committee of the City of La Porte met on November 14, 2022, at the City Hall Council Chambers, 604 West Fairmont Parkway, La Porte, Texas, at 5:00 p.m., with the following in attendance: Committee members present: Chuck Engelken, Jay Martin, Brandon Lunsford Committee members absent: Rick Helton (alternate) Council -appointed officers present: Corby Alexander, City Manager: Lee Woodward, City Secretary; Clark T. Askins, Asst. City Attorney 1. CALL TO ORDER — Chair Engelken called the meeting to order at 5:04 p.m. 2. CITIZEN COMMENT (Generally limited to five minutes per person; in accordance with state law, the time may be reduced if there is a high number of speakers or other considerations.) There were no public comments. 3. STATUTORY AGENDA (a) Presentation, discussion, and possible action to approve the minutes of the Fiscal Affairs Committee meeting held August 8, 2022. [Chuck Engelken, Chair] Member Martin moved to approve the minutes of the meeting held on August 8. 2022: the motion was seconded by Member Lunsford: the motion was adopted, 3-0. (b) Presentation, discussion and possible action to receive and review the Purchasing Card expenditures for June, July, and August 2022. [Cherell Daeumer, Purchasing Manager] The report was received and filed. (c) Presentation, discussion, and possible action to receive and review the Fourth Quarter (FY2022) Investment Report. [Shelley Wolny, Asst. Finance Director] The report was received and filed. (d) Presentation, discussion, and possible action to receive and review the City of La Porte Investment Policy for recommendation to the La Porte City Council. [Shelley Wolny, Asst. Finance Director] No changes to the policy were recommended. The report was received and filed. 4. SET DATE FOR NEXT MEETING [Michael Dolby, Finance Director] February 13 and March 13, 2023, were set as the prospective dates for the next meetings.
